I've been through Usenet, ICQ, Forums, Twitter and now ???

Mastodon? Maybe. Maybe Twitter (as I like it/use it) won't collapse yet.

But I learned a long time ago that all online discourse spaces die. You mourn them, but you also have to prep to move on.
