Hardcore OSM contributors may not be happy but it seems to me that OMF is creating a dataset that some users will prefer. Have a listen and let me know what you think
The problem is not that people will prefer Overture to OSM. It's that they will still be using OSM from that data, but crediting and providing feedback (or map updates) will become too messy, with even more misattributions than now.
@zverik @Mprioleau I think large organisations and their developers will prefer the more structured OMF data
@stevenfeldman @Mprioleau Yes, that's the reason they will use Overture Maps. But — from where does the base map data in OM come? Will the source be credited?
