Give 'Em Enough Pope

What exactly does the third step even mean, ? This carries a powerful "They told us we need to have five steps, will this do?" energy

@pikesley i'd have dropped "on it's way" and adding "in a garden somewhere near you" as a fifth step.

@pikesley Could be between distribution centres, but not on the final van for delivery.

@popey sure, fine, OK, but this seems like an implementation detail with which the customer should not be concerned

@pikesley I dunno, it works for me. Buying from Reverb and the like, the first step tells me the seller has registered it, the second tells me they've handed it over, the third tells me it's in the distribution network. I find it helpful

@pikesley if the first step doesn't happen, I've got a scammer. If the first step happens but the second doesn't, my seller is ill. Any point after the third step I can contact the deliverer.

@pikesley now sure, yes, some of this is implementation, but when implementation goes wrong, I can debug it...

@pikesley your package has entered... the ellipsis zone...
