Set up a #birdnetpi this evening. By the time I finished messing around with microphones, soundcards, and USB extensions, it was late enough that there was no more birdsong, so obviously I played some youtube videos of various birds to test.
Seems to work well so far, it'll be interesting to see what the morning brings.

@skolima From my pile of solutions waiting for problems (aka, the box of gadgets). I'm using my 4GB pi 4, which I've had since, according to my email, June 2019. I think this might actually be the last full-size pi that I bought (pi pico/pico W don't count ;-) )
