Anyone up for #mayke again this year?
Ma(y)ke Manifesto
------------------------------
Grasp the means of production
and
Make something, big or tiny, every day in May
unless
You want to slack off for the day.
There is no fayle, only mayke
(here's my #mayke -3 from yesterday - a titanium spoon, from the school of @jarkman sporks)
@libbymiller @jarkman I think I will try - even if it's just adding a few stitches to a knitting project, it'll be progress, and I need to get back in the incremental progress habit. (I've fallen into the Do Or Do Not mindset, which means unless I have a whole day to spend on something I never get started - and I *never* have a full day to spend on anything.)
@crinolinerobot I know exactly what you mean, it's exactly why I want to do it too.
@crinolinerobot also you can totally miss a day
@libbymiller Generally I start these things and fall off after about three days when a print deadline for one of my mags gets in the way. (One runs smoothly, the other has a habit of bunching into the last week or two of its schedule, so I wind up working at the weekend or in the evenings to bring it back on track.) But this should feed nicely into Me-made May.
@libbymiller I'd forgotten what a great and bonkers spoon that was.
@jarkman I love it so much. It's really great for slicing chunks of takeaway rice off cleanly. Damian says it's a shoehorn!
@libbymiller @jarkman #mayke day one: Twigspoon
@Tiffleek @libbymiller Oooo, good spoon.
@libbymiller @jarkman #mayke day 4 and 5 - a butter knife and The Bat Spork
@Tiffleek @libbymiller A complete canteen.
@libbymiller I will have a go! But EMF prep might end up getting in the way.
