I've been asked to talk a bit about #FolkRidingBikes at a consultation workshop for the #Liverpool waterfront masterplan this evening.
Hoping they've got a screen, then I can open these links and then talk about stuff in front of them.
(And these links are mostly to let me easily find them from not-my-laptop, but figured I'd share them anyhow )

From last night. The last photo is Danny from #PelotonLiv talking about the mini-roads and bike library projects, which led into me then talking about #FolkRidingBikes.
Which was mostly me enthusing about how riding bikes is FUN! And yes, it helps get cars off the streets, with climate-change, improve mental- and physical-health, and all manner of other good stuff. But all that follows from people realising that cycling is enjoyable.
@amcewen intrigued by "bike library projects" is that bikes for loan or books on bikes?! Either way is stuff I wanna see!
@concretedog bikes for loan. Families in/around #Everton can get bikes for their kid and then trade them in for bigger ones as they grow.
@amcewen ace. We did a similar system last year for families at Beics Ogwen. Cheap subscription fee meant they could swap bikes and get all jobs/maintenance done on em. Not sure if they are still doing it though.
@concretedog nice! It's a great idea.
And now I know (I presume) how to spell bikes in Welsh
Also from a poke around the Ogwen website I see you're infecting the rest of the town with the #GurningSelfie - c.f. one of the photos at the bottom of https://www.ogwen.wales/en/community-projects/veteran-sheds/
@amcewen ha I know that gurn!
