I don't know if this is a culturally-specific thing, but I do not know where our community elders are getting the *spectacular* amount of video content they forward around on WhatsApp and fill their phones with. Who is generating multi-minute "good morning / blessed day" videos of a spinning heart with clip-art text and a song in the background? Is Big Data Storage targeting Black people?
@airadam I don't know in your country, but in Brasil is this guy:

And for Portuguese speak people we have the 7graus company. They have a bunch of websites like "birthday messages", "messages from bible" or the "O Pensador" one of the biggest "quotes websites" in Brasil. My girlfriend worked there and she wrote a lot of articles like "17 best quotes to enhance your tinder profile".
@dobrado It's very much this kind of thing! Fascinating :)
@airadam My great aunt sends one to the family thread EVERY morning. It's been almost 2 years.
@Dniles I hear you I don't receive many of the videos (it's mostly Bible verses as images) but every time I'm drafted in as tech support for my mum, her WhatsApp convos are flooded with them! Classic as that's the generation who thought we were spending too much time looking at screens/on the internet...
