Damn, no more #running for a while. Managed to avoid #covid until now. Not sure I’ll be fit enough for the Tring Ultra 50km on 23/9/23 or the Lakes in a Day 50 miles in 7/10/23. And the #snowdonia running weekend next week with the club also cancelled for me. Any suggestions on covid recovery programmes for endurance runners appreciated.
@Sourdough I hope you feel better soon!
@Sourdough Be sure to give yourself the time to rest and get better.
@WTL @Sourdough I had COVID beginning of July and started training one week after symptoms passed. Going to run a half marathon next weekend. Here s my recovery training curve. Important start slowly https://digitalcourage.social/@flxz/110948660221804122
@Sourdough
Oh no! I hope you have a speedy recovery. Stay hydrated is all the advice I have. Rest and recover is step 1, you have to play the long game.
@Sourdough
Hope you get through it quickly.
Hits people differently.
Be prepared to be frustrated and then be willing to rest.
Good luck.
@Sourdough take it slowly (pun not intended) treat your recovery as though you are starting running fresh. Two Weeks after symptoms have cleared. Don't push yourself to get out running. I had it in Feb for the first time and slowing right down on training when I got back to it helped.
