I'd have liked to keep him for another year, on a greatly reduced salary, as squad glue and backup, with an eye to bringing him into coaching. But that part might still happen. And I can totally see why Brighton want him and why he'd want first-team football.

@mike Im not sure he's gonna get any more minutes at Brighton given how well they're doing. I'd imagine there is some other incentive for him.

@30yrdscreamer Possible, yes. They do seem strong in midfield. But why would be prefer backup at Brighton over backup at #LFC?
